Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Peak Wellness Center has staff who are certified to teach MHFA, and there are other trainers offering courses statewide. If you are interested in attending a 1-day workshop, let us know! We can tell you about pre-scheduled events that you can join, or if you would like to request a training specifically for your group, we can schedule a workshop at your convenience. Contact Kristi Leavitt at Kristi.Leavitt@PeakWellnessCenter.org or 307-635-2753. For more info on MHFA, visit the official website: http://wims.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/cs/
